southern city in South America.

Humble Beginnings

Lead Dog Spock Kennels started very small in the summer of '96 with a few dogs and the
desire to enjoy the wilderness of
Alaska. As the years passed we found more dogs
falling into our care but the desire remained to keep our numbers small
and maintain a team large enough to explore the wilds of
Alaska comfortably.

Today we hold true to the small kennel philosophy making sure each dog gets the type of quality one-on-one attention they deserve. From shelter fosters to the occassional litter we raise and train from our own line, each are very special in their own way.

We hope you enjoy this glimpse into our day to day lives on the trail and at home with our loveable furry children. May you delight in getting to know them as much as we have on a day to day basis.

Life is a delightful journey when you have a dog by your side...

To the Future...
Boreas, a 2007 pup out of Salmon and Griffin.

We do our best to help the over population of sled dogs in our community by only replenishing our numbers when needed, usually every six years or more. Most, if not all, of our pups stay with us helping to keep our large line of freighting dogs alive and well.

Our kennel is dedicated to my husband James, who showed me the light in this life
and took in all my furry children and loved them as if they were his own.

To my mother for putting up with me and the pups through difficult times.

To all my dear wonderful furry children living here now, those who have passed and to those
still to come.

And to the Great Spirit, through whom none of this would have been possible.
